Summer

This summer is going to be pretty cool. I cant wait for school to be over with because I'm tired of it and rather do something way more fun. Going to high school next year will be kind of weird though because it's a new building and all that. This summer I'm going to take a trip to Michigan to see my uncle and go fishing in Lake Michigan and Lake Sinclair. Michigan is a 9 hour drive and it will be pretty boring but there are some cool stuff on the way there. On the way there I'm going to see a military museum and go see some cool stuff from World War 2 and other historical wars.

Teacher Appreciation Day

A teacher that I really appreciate is our 8th grade history teacher because he makes class fun for us. I really like his class because history is easy to learn and he doesn't make it boring. Another teacher i really appreciate is Mr. Kinder because he is pretty funny most of the time and he is always in a good mood. He is pretty laid back and not as strict as most teachers. The next teacher I appreciate is Mr. Zustiak because he has been my choir teacher for about 2 years. He is also laid back and makes class really fun. Mr. Zustiak also does some cool activities in class with us and picks songs that are really mature for us to sing. There are more teachers I appreciate but these are the top 3 I appreciate.

Act of Valor!

Last weekend I went to see the movie Act of Valor. It was really good and had a lot of detail in it. The actors were active duty Navy Seals and officers in it. The movie was about a terrorist organization who wanted to destroy America by making explosive vests for kidnapped people to wear. They would kidnap people, make them wear the explosive vests, and then go to a place that would cause a lot of chaos. The Navy Seals had to infiltrate a terrorist base and rescue a hostage and ambush a terrorist convoy with the explosive vests.

I think this picture symbolizes that there is one person who is above everyone else, one person who works harder and goes beyond what is expected. The reason I think this is because he is hovering above everybody else. The people on the ground look angry and mad at the floating boy probably because they haven't went beyond like the boy has. The picture looks like it's painted so the boy is the focal point or the eye catcher because when you look at the picture, you will most likely look at the boy first. One reason may be that the boy is good and the people on the ground are bad. I think this is because the boy's wings are light and the others' wings are dark and black.

Six Flags Choir Trip

Next week we are going to Six Flags for a choir competition. We will be singing "A City Called Heaven" and "Benidictus" which are two great songs to learn. I'm going with Dylan Shane, Brandon Shane, and Devin Peppers on a lot of the rides. First, we are going to ride the Batman or Superman then just go to different rides. We are going to arrive there by 10:00 or so and then do our performance. Then we will go on rides and check in every 2 hours. This trip is going to be pretty fun.

The Civil War

In Mr. Driemeier's History class we are learning about the Civil War and how it was the first modern war of its kind. I'm pretty excited that we finally get to learn about the Civil War since it's my favorite war to learn about. Most of the stuff that we go over in class about the Civil War is review for me but it's still interesting to learn about it. One thing that I think is interesting about the Civil War is the new muskets and bullets they used. The Minnie Ball was the number one bullet to use and was mass produced in both the North and South for the war. It could shoot to about 100 yards and was much more accurate than the plain iron ball they used in the Revolutionary War. The rifles are also very interesting because they had new designs and smooth bores which would make the bullet shoot more accurate and shoot farther. I am very anxious to get to the famous battles of the Civil War and hoping to learn more about them.

Motivational Reward

A reward that would really motivate me would be to take a trip to a different country to study the history and government. It would be educational which would give us a chance to go and the students would have a lot of fun. The students would pay a certain amount to go on the trip and then be there for at least 3 days or so. We could study the branches in their government and learn the ways they handle politics. We could also learn the history and birth of their country at their perspectives. We could also study their culture and their traditions. Then we could try and see what food they have there that makes America different from other countries.

Fishing Trip!

This weekend I'm going to Mark Twain Lake with my dad and my grandparents. I'm going to stay up there Friday afternoon until Sunday evening. On another note is was my birthday 5 days ago. So I'm going to use some of the money i got to buy a new fishing rod. My dad is also going to bring his boat and we will take it on the river to fish. Then we'll take it on the lake just to take a ride and fish in some of the coves. It was my grandpa's birthday yesterday so he bought a new fishing rod as well along with some tackle. Then I guess we will just have campfires and a barbecue Saturday night. This weekend will be pretty fun and my friend Jarrett Stover will want to go with me next time I go.

How to Stay Healthy

Staying healthy is very important to the human body. The human body needs the correct amount of nutrients and water to function properly. Some ways to stay healthy is to get a lot of rest as to grow more. Another way is to always wash your hands and stay active. Some ways to stay active are to run and lift weights. That is only some of the ways to stay healthy.

This weekend I'm going fishing at Mark Twain Lake with Dylan Shane and my grandparents. Mark Twain Lake is about 2 hours away from Festus and is located in Northeastern Missouri. Dylan Shane and I are going to fish near Clearance Cannon Dam and Mark Twain River. I just bought a new fishing rod and it's my birthday this Friday so I'm going to buy another rod and some more tackle. We are going to spend the night at my grandparents house then get up at about 5:00 AM and go fishing. I'm guessing it will be pretty cool.

Ergonomics is the study of the human body and how it uses its workplace and equipment. Some common bad habits that people have are wrong posture, incorrect breathing, and an unhealthy diet. Some bad habits that I have are wrong posture and incorrect angle of my elbows while standing. Our workplaces are most likely not ergonomically sound, that's because a lot of people like to slump down while they're sitting and for other various reasons. People who are on the computer should sit straight up in their seat so their lumbar can support their spine. People should also have their elbows at an 90 degree angle and their head and neck aligned with their spine.

My opinion is that I think it is ethical to keep TOP SECRET and CONFIDENTIAL areas blacked out on Google Map so the public can not see these areas. Some areas are very important for keeping secret, such as Area 51 or military base. One reason they keep them blacked out is because the public will start riots if they find out what the government is hiding and they want it. Then the military and government will see more civilian activity at those bases. Another reason is that the U.S. Government does not want secret services and enemies from different countries looking at these maps and giving information to their superior.

What I Liked about Topics in Technology

I have liked a lot of things in Topics in Technology, but I would have ti say my favorite thing was doing stop motion. The best thing about stop motion is how cool it looks ounce it is finished. Putting a song with the pictures was so fun. I liked how it looked like a video even though it was just a group of pictures. It may have been one of the most fun projects I have ever done.  Although my stop motion video is short, I still think it was very fun. I think this is the best class in the school and hope that in high school there are more classes like this one.

This spring break we get to have three extra days off. Altogether we get five days off. I am very happy that we get a break from all of the school work. One of the best parts about spring break is that we shouldn't have homework. The reason we won't have homework is because we are taking finals the day before. Usually teachers don't give homework that day of finals. So the spring break I will just get to be chilling.

 I have seen a picture of the Eiffel Tower. It is distorted is a way. I think it represents the way that the world had become, because the world is now twisted and weird they distorted is like that. The way that people have become is very sad. People have done bad stuff and have lost their family because of it. I think that the trees on the side if the tower represent how death is very close to us and can happen at any time. Like everyday we face a couple hundred ways to die but we block them out. Unfortunatly for some people don't stop it.

Being Sick

I am sick. The only reason I am at school is because I do not have a fever. I have not even been at school the past three days because I had a temperature those days. I took my temperature this morning and it was 98.3 degrees Fahrenheit, so that is pretty good. I have a lot of work to do now that I am back. Hopefully I am not sick tomorrow.

Things About This Class

Overall, this class is pretty good. We do a lot of fun projects and other fun stuff. The only thing I don't like about this class is timed typing test and typing web. It helps the kids that don't know how to type well but the kids that do know how to type should not have to do it. Maybe every ounce in a while we should get a game day where we can play games on Mrs. Debolts website. I still like this class a lot, it is one of the more fun classes in the school.

Should You Have to Do P.E.

I dont think that all people should have to do P.E. I dont think you should have to do it if you broke something, sprang something, or if you just hurt it. You can just sit out or so other stuff. If you are in perfect condition than you should not have the choice if you dont want to do it. If you just fell and didnt really hurt yourseld than you should still have to do P.E. If you scraped something on like concret or something than you should be able to go to the nurse and than get back in the game.

Because it is a four day weekend I might go over to Sercan house. Bo the of the other two days I will relax. I will sleep in late all of the days. Later tonight I will do most of my homework so I wont have to a lot all of the other days. Hopefully this weekend will be fun.

Helping Can Really Help Someone

One time when I was not having a good day, it got worse. All of my stuff and my papers fell out of my bad and went everywhere. I was picking them up when someone started helping. I thanked them, and they said your welcome. That made my day a lot better. I was happy the rest of the day. If people helped out each other more like that, than a lot of the world would be a lot more happy.

Assembly Tomorrow

Tomorrow we have the second quarter awards assembly. I do not know what I will get, but I'm pretty sure I will have perfect attendance and A honor roll. I get to get out of my seventh hour a little bit early because I get to sing one of my choir songs in the assembly. All concert choir students will get to sing," A South African Trilogy", that is a three African songs from the African revolution.

An Arcade Facility

I think the new facility should be an arcade facility. A reason if mine is that games never get old, they always come out with new ones. Games are fun for everyone, no matter if you are a boy or a girl. People have always liked games ever since they came out. There fun when you are bored, and will always be. Arcades don't have to be just video games either. A lot of arcades have basketball hoops. Sometimes they even have the succor games where you have to kick it past a goalie.

Choir Trip

The choir trip was fun. we got lots of good tasting food like: Subway, Pizza Hut, Denny's, and snacks from a gas station. We were supposed to go to bed at 9:00 pm, but my room mates and I could not get to sleep until 11:00. We couldn't get to sleep because we though people were outside and the girls above us were stomping around. When we performed, I was tired. I think we did good though.

If I Could Go Anywhere in the World it would be Florida

If I could go anywhere in the whole world, it would be Florida. Florida is nice warm place, and I like being warm. I hear that there are a lot of good restaurants there. There is a lot if beaches, too. If I went there I would go to a nice, warm beach. The n I would get some food from a good restaurant. I would go to a hotel and rest after that. I would enjoy going there alot, although it would be so much money!

I have two cats. Their names are Ali and Mia, and they are both girls. Ali is a shy cat that has to get used to you to come around, but she likes getting pet a lot and she'll like you better the more you pet her. Mia is more of an aggressive cat that is strait forward and will tell you what she wants, by  meowing of course. Mia has a weird meow that she will do sometimes and will sound like shes telling you," Hello". Ali's birthday is on the 15 of January and Mia's is on the 21 of July.
